The electric sump pump in our garage stopped working and sounded like it was gasping for air. Or water. An unplug and jiggle of the floater fixed the issue, but I wanted to get it checked anyway. It's getting old and could be on its last legs. Stephen and Junior from Ostroski showed up on time as promised and were very quick and efficient. Friendly and easy to talk to. They said the float probably got stuck—they were able to re-create the noise it had been making. They finished checking it out in record time and gave it a clean bill of health. I'll definitely call them again the next time I need help with plumbing.

The difference is night and day
We had a long-standing steam heat issue with LOUD water hammering and inefficient operation that multiple plumbers and HVAC companies tried to diagnose over time. Everyone had theories, but no one was able to actually identify or fix the root cause.
Greg at Ostroski came highly recommended through a family referral after he successfully resolved the same exact issues for my Godparents' property. From the start, it was clear he truly understands steam systems. Greg and his technician Brent took the time to properly evaluate the system, explain what was wrong, and make the correct adjustments and repairs - not guesses.
The difference is night and day. The system now runs quietly, efficiently, and exactly how steam heat should. The water hammering is completely gone, and overall performance has noticeably improved.
If you have an older steam system and are tired of bandaid fixes from contractors who don’t really understand steam, I can’t recommend Greg and Ostroski enough. This is the level of expertise we wish we had found sooner.

10/27/2025 We had an emergency since Friday, the water supply pipe valve was leaking on the second floor. I left a message for Greg during the weekend, and he called me at 6:49 AM and immediately took care of the matter. Tina was able to schedule an emergency visit for 7:45 AM, and Gregory's plumber Stephen came in an hour (!) and did a fantastic job. And he thoroughly cleaned the bathroom after he finished the job. I would highly recommend Ostroski Plumbing and Heating for all your plumbing needs, especially if you expect high quality job. Thank you Tina, Gregory and Stephen!

Steve and Nick came to fix a ceiling leak in my basement, which I believed was related to a toilet above that had been running on its own every 15 minutes. They cut an access hole in the basement ceiling and discovered that the tub spout was leaking. They replaced the tub spout and also changed the flapper gasket on the first-floor toilet. I'm hopeful these repairs have resolved the issue with the ceiling leak. Steve was very informative and took the time to walk me through the problem and the necessary steps to fix it. He was professional in his approach, and I really appreciated that the work was completed the same day.

Called Ostroski when water heater stopped working on Friday. They were able to arrive early Monday morning and fixed the issue in an hour without incurring significant costs.
Giving four stars because I received a call on Monday morning before they arrived saying they were going to bring a replacement water heater before they diagnosed the issue or discussed the matter with me—seems like this was some miscommunication on their part (water heater did not need replacement in the end). Additionally, the guy that specializes in heating systems was out due to injury and unable to conduct the visit, so two guys were sent out who did not have as much experience with heating. I'm grateful they were skilled and able to fix the issue.
Overall happy with the service and would recommend to others.
